End User License Agreement
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This agreement covers how you may use the digital products you buy from Harlan Fenton: The Household Book (standard and large-print editions), Volume II: Winter, Power & the Garage, The Winter Volume, the Drawer Cards, and any later edition we send you. By downloading a product, you agree to it.
The short version: it's yours to use, print, write in and pass on as paper. It isn't yours to copy for other people.
What you may do
- Download and keep the files on your own phone, tablet and computers, and keep backup copies for yourself.
- Print as many copies as your own household needs: one for the kitchen drawer, one for the garage, the large-print edition for someone in the house with weaker eyes.
- Have it printed for you. You may take the file to a copy shop or print service to print and bind your own household's copies.
- Write in it. That is what the ruled lines and the blank pages are for.
- Pass on your printed copy. The first page of the book asks who it goes to after you. You may give your printed, written-in copy to a family member or anyone else, the way the book intends. Pass on the paper, not the file.
- Tell people about a method. You may show someone a page, read one out, or explain a method in your own words. Quoting a short passage with credit to The Household Book by Harlan Fenton is fine.
What you may not do
- Share, email, upload or post the files or your download link, including in groups, forums, cloud folders or file-sharing sites.
- Sell, rent, sublicense or give away the files, in whole or in part.
- Print copies to hand out in quantity (to a class, a club, a congregation or customers). If you'd like copies for a group, write to us; we're glad to talk about it.
- Copy the text, cards, index or design into your own books, courses, websites, videos or social posts, or use them to train or prompt an AI system to reproduce them.
- Remove the Harlan Fenton name or copyright notices.
Ownership
The products are licensed to you, not sold. We keep the copyright and all other rights in our writing, design and arrangement. The sources cited in the products belong to their publishers, and public-domain material stays in the public domain.
Refunds
If you get a refund under our 30-day guarantee, you may keep the copies you already have for your own household, under this same license. We may switch off the download link for that product.
Information, not advice
The products are general information about running a household, not medical, legal, financial or professional trade advice. Read the Disclaimer once.
Ending the license
If you break these terms, for example by sharing the files, your license ends and we may switch off your download links. You must then delete the files you hold. Copies already passed on as paper under "What you may do" are not affected.
